Novice drivers can accumulate a MAXIMUM of 9 demerit points before their drivers license is suspended.
Fully licensed drivers can accumulate a MAXIMUM of 15 demerit points before their license is suspended.
The ministry of transportation will suspend the license of a fully licensed driver for 30 days when they hit 15 points
They will suspend the license of a novice driver for 60 days when they hit 9 points
